\\ Enrollment

By clicking "Submit" or "Pay Now", you signify your agreement and willingness to be held to the terms and conditions described herein. Enrollment is on a first-come, first served basis.  Payment is required at time of registration to reserve a space in class/playgroup(s). Please read our cancellation and refund policies before enrolling.

\\ Training Methodology

Our peer-reviewed training programs are based on the scientific principles of animal learning theory and emphasize the use of positive reinforcement-based techniques. NOTE: Physical punishment or rough handling is not necessary or effective, and will not be tolerated.

\\ Vaccinations/Health Requirements/Risks

As a prerequisite to beginning class, we require that your dog be examined by your veterinarian for general health, be free of external and internal parasites, and has received their first round vaccinations. By enrolling your dog in class, you are confirming that your dog has been adequately vaccinated. While enrolled, It is your responsibility to monitor your puppy’s health daily.  If your puppy seems ill or suddenly does not eat or play as usual, please take your puppy to your veterinarian immediately.

\\ Disruptive and Dangerous Behaviors

In order to protect all participants in a class, we reserve the right to decline entry or continuing participation to any dog who presents behavior issues that may be dangerous, disruptive, or may be exacerbated by participation in a group class or playgroup.  If behavior issues arise during a class or playgroup and the trainer determines that your dog should be removed from class, you will be refunded a prorated amount based on the number of class sessions remaining.

\\ Administrative Rescheduling & Cancellations

If the minimum enrollment for a class and/or playgroup is not met three days prior, the affected session may be rescheduled, moved or cancelled. We will notify you at least 48 hours before the first day of class.

\\ Attendance

If you miss a class please contact us via email, [email protected]. Our class materials are taught is series; therefore, drop-ins and make-up classes are generally not possible. Students who were not pre-enrolled in a class may join ONLY at the instructor’s discretion, provided there is space available in the class. Missing more than two classes will be considered dropping out, and you will be asked to re-enroll in order to graduate.  We are unable to provide refunds for missed classes.

\ Minors

Children under the age of ten are not permitted without prior instructor permission, and no children under eighteen are allowed without a parent or legal guardian. If you have a young child you'd like to bring to class, please make arrangements with the instructor before you complete your registration.

\\ Refunds

To be eligible for a refund, you must notify us of your intent to withdraw 72 hours before the first day of class. If you paid with a credit card and are eligible for a refund, a $25 processing fee will be deducted from the amount refunded. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS ALSO 2.9% ADMINISTRATIVE FEE CHARGED BY OUR PROCESSOR FOR ALL CREDIT CARD REFUNDS.

Because of the nature of scheduling and operating group classes, refunds ARE NOT POSSIBLE after the first day of class.  Class registration is confirmed via email several days prior to the first day of class. Please review your inbox and Junk folders to ensure delivery of registration and class materials.

 \\ Puppy Play Packages

All package credit must be used before your dog is 18 weeks old. Some exceptions may be made at discretion of Seattle Puppyworks’ instructors, prior approval is required.  NOTE: unused package credits are not eligible for refunds and are not transferable.

Seattle Puppyworks instructors are in charge of playgroups and will direct all activities. Owners displaying disruptive behavior or interfering with the play group will be excused by Puppyworks instructors. Persistent infractions will result in permanent dismissal without possibility for refund.

While all dogs are unique, most puppies need only 30 minutes of play and socialization per session. More is not always better, and can be detrimental to proper canine development. Puppyworks instructors will determine appropriate play duration for each dog and will work with you to end daily play on a happy note whenever possible. Our goal is the psychological and physiological growth and benefit to your dog, and we reserve the right to end play whenever we deem appropriate.  Play groups are directed by certified Puppyworks staff. We politely ask that all attending owners leave play direction and interactions to our instructors, avoiding any punishment or handling of others’ dogs.

\\ Liability Waiver and Release

I understand that participating in Seattle Puppyworks classes and/or playgroups involves risks of personal injury and/or property damage to myself, to my dog, to attending members of my family and to accompanying friends.  I assume all risks associated with participating in classes and/or play groups. I agree to comply with the instructions, rules and decisions of the Instructor(s) as it relates to myself or to my dog’s ability to safely complete any class and/or playgroup(s).  I certify that my dog is current on all vaccinations. In consideration of, and as inducement to the acceptance of my application for classes and/or playgroups, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seattle Puppyworks, Cultivated Canines LLC, and all their officers, directors, instructors, agents, employees, contractors and/or representatives harmless of any and all claims, or claims by any member of my family, or accompanying guests of mine regarding, injury, expense, costs or damages to myself, my dog or any handler sponsored by me, arising out of or in connection with or in any way related to classes and/or play groups, even though the liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the individuals or entities released in this Waiver and Release.  In addition, I agree that I will defend and indemnify Seattle Puppyworks, Cultivated Canines LLC, and their officers, directors, instructors, agents, employees, contractors and/or representatives for any injury, expense, costs or damages to any dog handlers or dogs, whether sponsored by me or not, or to third parties arising out of my own actions or the actions of my dog. I agree that the risks of enrolling my dog or puppy in this class have been fully explained to me, and I have been advised to consult with my veterinarian regarding the health risks involved. I also understand that Seattle Puppyworks and Cultivated Canines LLC may use for publicity or promotional purposes, my name and pictures of me or of my dog without liability or obligation to myself or any interested parties.  I have read, understand and agree to the above.
